Spaces

Photography

2016

Spaces is an ongoing project, a series of photographs exploring massive construction & destruction of the landscape in Israel. The camera is documenting and interrogating these developments in the scenery, the intervention and the movement within them.

This body of work started in 2014 and was photographed at the Carmel tunnels during the excavation and construction of the tunnels.

The works captures moments of an ongoing transformation of the land, exposing places that are invisible to the viewers eyes. Untouched sceneries are going through intense massive changes. New routes are created within the mountains. These grandiose processes changes the topography of the land forever.

The large scale prints allow the viewers to enter into these spaces and the mechanisms working within them, depicting man’s intervention within the environment.
